EUGENDERING aims at creating and maintaining a hub for the scholarly community on gender and the EU at the international level.
The objective is to take advantage of the location of the Chair in Brussels where many researchers engaged in qualitative methodologies come for their empirical work (interviews, observations, archival material). The existence of the Chair allows this institutional hub to be established and become known to the gender and the EU scholarly community in social science, in history and beyond.
In this sense, the Chair supports both individual research, through research stays as part of existing projects (including PhD projects), and collective research since it will become a gathering point for specialists in gender and the EU.
The research activities of EUGENDERING include:
- the yearly awarding of the Prize for Best Graduate Student Research Paper
- a Visiting Fellows Programme
- a series of research seminars
- a research papers series
